Ironton Global Announces “You Make The Call” Bonus for Allentown Indoor Races
Allentown, PA – The Ironton Global Allentown Indoor Races, taking place January 3-4 at the PPL Center, will feature an exciting new incentive for TQ Midget competitors on Friday night.
In partnership with event sponsors Ironton Global and Ironton Telephone, the starting lineup for the TQ Midget feature race will be determined by an inversion, set by the fastest-qualified driver.
A special new trophy will also be unveiled to commemorate Ironton’s long-standing presence in the community since 1909, known for providing reliable, high-quality voice connection.
“We are always looking for ways to enhance our racing program and highlight our event sponsors,” said series promoter Len Sammons. “This new program will offer one driver the chance to more than double Friday night’s winner’s share and create an unforgettable race that fans will be talking about for years to come.”
A key word in the program is “invert”. While only one driver will be eligible for the bonus money, where they choose to start will effect the entire starting line-up, meaning their closest competitor will be starting next to them, but not eligible for the money awards. “When picking their starting spot, the fastest heat race qualifier, will have to factor in the monetary bonuses and strategy or where they want their competitors to start as well.”
As an incentive for them to choose as large of an invert as possible, a tiered system of bonuses will be offered to this driver only! Bonuses will be offered for each car they pass, based on their starting position and if they are able to pull off the victory.
Companies or individuals looking to get involved can sponsor a starting spot for just $250, the “You Make The Call” sponsor package includes includes 20 tickets to Friday nights event and 2 banners around the track. “If a driver takes the challenge, starts tenth and wins, Friday night’s event could pay a lot more than Saturday night!” stated Sammons. “We want people to come out for both nights of racing and this bonus program sets up for an outstanding Friday night.”
Last year, the Allentown races featured intense battles for the lead, with Ryan Flores, Andy Jankowiak, and Tommy Catalano going three-wide for the top spot at one point. T anner VanDoren, a young driver from nearby Schnecksville, PA, unexpectedly clinched the TQ Midget A-Main victory on Friday night, with Flores taking home the victory on Saturday.
In 2018, Justin Bonsignore won the A-Main after starting from 20th, proving that anything is possible.
Tickets for the event are on sale now via Ticketmaster and the PPL Center box office.
In addition to the high-speed TQ Midgets—purpose-built race cars powered by motorcycle engines—two support divisions will also race: Slingshots and Champ Karts.
Family-Friendly Pricing: Tickets start at just $20 for adults, with general admission for children available for only $5 on the day of the event. Premium front-row seating and reserved seats are also available for an additional fee. Pricing excludes facility and ticketing fees.
Fans can enjoy an exclusive pre-race FanFest on the arena floor, where lower-level reserved ticket holders can walk the track and meet their favorite drivers before Saturday night’s race.
After two nights of racing in Allentown, the Indoor Series stars will head to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, for the NAPA AUTO PARTS Gambler’s Classic on January 31 and February 1. The series will conclude its season on a clay oval at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, NJ, on February 21 and 22.
