Excitement Returns to Allentown: Ironton Global Indoor Auto Races Set for January 3-4
Allentown, PA – The thrill of indoor auto racing is back at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA, on January 3 and 4, for the 9th running of the Ironton Global Allentown Indoor Races.
Tickets for this exhilarating event go on sale on Friday, October 18, at 10 AM and can be purchased via Ticketmaster or at the arena box office.
This year’s race weekend will feature high-speed TQ Midgets—purpose-built race cars powered by motorcycle engines—competing in main events on both nights on a 1/10th-mile oval track set up on the arena floor.
In addition to the TQ Midgets, the weekend will also showcase two support divisions: Slingshots and Champ Karts, promising an action-packed lineup for motorsport enthusiasts.
Ryan Flores from Huntersville, NC, has been a dominant force at the PPL Center, winning six feature events in the TQ Midgets, including the finale last Saturday.
A new star emerged last year when Tanner VanDoren, a young driver from nearby Schnecksville, PA, unexpectedly clinched the TQ Midget A-Main victory on Friday night. Flores and longtime rival Andy Jankowiak of Tonawanda, NY, made contact while battling for the lead, paving the way for the 15-year-old sensation to take the win.
Flores and Jankowiak split the main events held in Atlantic City in 2024, with Flores ultimately claiming the series title.
Family-Friendly Pricing: Tickets start at just $20 for adults, with a special general admission option for children available for only $5 on the day of the event. Premium front-row seating and reserved seats are also available for an additional fee. Pricing does not include facility or ticketing fees.
Fans can look forward to an exclusive pre-race FanFest on the arena floor, where those with lower-level reserved seats can walk the track and meet their favorite drivers before Saturday night’s race.
After two nights of racing in Allentown, the Indoor Series stars will head to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, for the Gambler’s Classic on January 31 and February 1. The series will conclude its season on a clay oval at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, NJ, on February 21 and 22.
