Ryan Flores Seeks Redemption Beginning This Weekend In Allentown Indoor Races
Allentown, PA – After going winless on the 2023 Indoor Auto Racing Series, no one is more anxious to hit the reset button for 2024 than Ryan Flores.
The six-time Indoor TQ Midget winner from Davidson, NC comes to Allentown’s PPL Center focused on returning to victory lane on Friday and Saturday, January 5th and 6th as part of the huge Ironton Global Cloud Phone sponsored weekend.
After swapping the lead late in the going in the lone feature held in 2023 at the PPL Center he was forced to settle for second.
Later in the month on the first of two nights inside Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall, Flores charged through the pack and was inside of race leader Andy Jankowiak when the pair made contact. Flores did a 360-degree spin and settled for a seventh place finish. The season ended with a fourth-place finish on Saturday night.
Flores, who captured the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series title as a front tire changer for Ryan Blaney and Team Penske comes into Allentown as one of the favorites. He is one of only three drivers to make all 11 A-Mains held at the PPL Center and has a 45%-win percentage with eight top five finishes.
In 2017, Flores swept the weekend winning TQ Midget features held on Friday and Saturday that year. Thanks to an Ironton Auto Body Challenge in effect this year, if Flores wins on Friday, accepts a tenth starting spot on Saturday and wins again he’ll head home with $10,000 in race earnings.
The eighth running of the Allentown event will feature three divisions of racing: TQ Midgets, Slingshots and Champ Karts with qualifying races and main events both nights.
Friday’s events, sponsored by BELFOR Property Restoration begins on Friday night at 7:30 PM with doors opening one hour earlier. Saturday’s racing, sponsored by Future Homes, fires up at 7 PM.
Saturday’s annual Fan Fest, limited to fans who purchased 100 level seats, will offer a close look at the race cars and a chance to meet the drivers before the racing begins. To gain access Fan Fest ticket holders must enter through the Air Products gate which opens at 5 PM at the corner of 7th and Linden. All other gates will open on Saturday at 6 PM.
Tickets are on sale, online at PPLCenter.com or at the Box Office daily including the days of the event. New this year is a Friday/ Saturday Combo Ticket and a Friday night a lower level family section with Adult tickets starting at just $20 and Kids $5.

After the Allentown races, the chase for the Indoor Series championship will head to Atlantic City, NJ January 26 and 27 at Boardwalk Hall for the 22nd running of the NAPA Auto Parts Atlantic City Indoor Races.
