Scott Kreutter Locked Into East Coast Indoor Dirt National A-Main
Trenton, NJ – Starting spot secured, stress level reduced for Scott Kreutter heading to the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals presented by BELFOR Property Restoration inside the CURE Insurance Arena on February 21 and 22 in Trenton, NJ.
Qualifying for the A-Main of the two-day event is monumental task with 90 competitors, vying for just 24 starting spots in the main event, it takes a combination of skill, speed and some luck. Kreutter, by winning Saturday night’s 600 Micro Sprint A-Main during the Atlantic City Indoor Races this past weekend, not only guaranteed himself a spot in the main event, he is locked into the 11th starting spot.
Starting out on Friday, February 21, drivers will compete in time trials, qualifying races, and a 25-lap preliminary night A-Main. The top five finishers in that A-Main and the next five drivers who have accumulated the most points throughout the night will join Kreutter as being locked in the 40-lap A-Main on Saturday.
The remaining 79 drivers will head to “alphabet soup” on Saturday, competing in the E, D, C, and B-Mains with a chance to race and advance their way to the A-Main.
And it can be done. After starting last in the E-Main, Jon Keller won the 2020 Saturday night main event. He transferred in four qualifiers to make the A-Main, started last, and won it! Last year’s winner, Anthony Perrego, qualified out of the B-Main, started 11th, and won it!
While Kreutter is already locked into Saturday night’s A-Main, he will have plenty of reasons to race hard throughout the weekend. Friday night’s A-Main pays a minimum of $1,000 to win but could pay substantially more through the recently announced “Get Dirty” program.
Prior to Friday night’s feature, drivers will get to select their starting spot and potential winner’s share, with $250 added for each position further back. For example, choosing the second start spot earns a $250 bonus, while starting ninth and winning results in a $2,250 bonus.
The Friday night “Get Dirty” starting spot promotion offers a unique sponsorship opportunity with great benefits. For a $250 sponsorship, companies will have their name associated with one of the top ten starting positions. In return, they will receive 20 tickets to Friday’s event, a banner displayed around the raceway throughout the weekend, and recognition in the official program and over the public address system.

With the event limited to 90 entries, the 7th Annual East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals has already attracted over 80 confirmed wingless 600 Sprint drivers.
