ALLENTOWN, PA – At 10 AM tomorrow morning, Friday, January 4, 2019, four dozen TQ Midget cars and race teams will begin entering the pit area underneath the PPL Center in downtown Allentown, PA and begin preparations to compete in the Ironton Telephone Indoor Races Presented By BELFOR.

Track building plans including the erection of a perimeter catch fence, the construction of outside and inside concrete block walls, and the application of a soda syrup blend that acts as a traction-increaser are nearing completion.

TQ Midgets are the headline attraction of a two-day racing spectacular inside the center city Allentown facility on Friday and Saturday, January 4-5, 2019. TQs go in two complete racing programs, back-to-back, including qualifying heats and feature events.

Two and a half dozen Champ Karts will also be filing into the building with the TQs for the Friday action.

For spectators, doors open at 6:00 PM with racing getting underway at 7:30 PM on Friday.

Joining the TQs on Saturday are three dozen Slingshot teams.

On Saturday, doors open at 5:00 PM with racing beginning at 7:00 PM sharp.

Fans will have the opportunity to get up close and personal to the cars and drivers by purchasing a Saturday Fan Fest pass that allows access to the race track for photo opportunities and autographs. Fan Fest starts at 5:30 PM. An event ticket is also required.

Tickets for both the Fri., Jan. 4 and Sat,, Jan. 5 PPL Center Allentown Indoor races are available on the day of the events the PPL Center box office.
