Dirt Modified Star Billy Pauch Jr. Seeks First TQ Midget A-Main Victory Inside Allentown’s PPL Center

Allentown, PA – Billy Pauch Jr., like his legendary father before him, is a proven winner. At the Ironton Global Cloud Phone sponsored Indoor Auto Racing Series events inside Allentown, PA’s PPL Center January 5 and 6, the Frenchtown, N.J. native will be seeking his first ever TQ Midget A-Main victory. It’s something his father, Billy “The Kid” Pauch achieved indoors in Atlantic City, NJ in 2009.

A versatile driver, the 36-year-old “Kid’s Kid” has already won 127 times since his career first in 2006 in a small-block Modified. While most his wins have come in Dirt Modified competition, he’s also scored open cockpit victories in Micro Sprint, Midget, full-size Sprint and SpeedSTR competition.

Pauch Jr. will be driving the same Jason Simmons Racing No. 98P TQ Midget out of Fulton, N.Y. that he impressively drove to victory in an Allentown preliminary night split field qualifier race in 2022. On Saturday of that year he finished a career best ninth in the A-Main event.

This year the schedule has been changed to offer A-Main events both nights giving Pauch two chances to notch that first series win. Should he win Friday and accept an Ironton Auto Body Challenge to start 10th on Saturday and win again, his weekend earnings would be $10,000!

The eighth running of the Allentown event, will feature three divisions of racing: TQ Midgets, Slingshots and Champ Karts with qualifying races and main events both nights. The TQ Midgets, the headline division, includes over 40 entries.

Friday’s events, sponsored by BELFOR Property Restoration begins at 7:30 PM with doors opening one hour earlier. Saturday’s racing, sponsored by Future Homes, fires up at 7 PM.

Saturday’s annual Fan Fest, limited to fans who purchased 100 level seats, will offer a close up look of the race cars and a chance to meet the drivers before the racing begins. To gain access to Fan Fest ticket holders must enter through the Air Products gate which opens at 5 PM at the corner of 7th and Linden. All other gates will open on Saturday at 6 PM.

Tickets are on sale, online at PPLCenter.com or at the Box Office daily including the days of the event. New this year is a Friday/ Saturday Combo Ticket and a Friday night a lower level family section with Adult tickets starting at just $20 and Kids $5.

For more information including links to purchase tickets, entry forms and book hotel rooms within walking distance of the center visit www.indoorautoracing.com.

For race fans who cannot make the trip to get the best experience at the event, quality DTD-TV pay-per-view will be available for both nights on the web at dirttrackdigest.tv.

After the Allentown races, the chase for the Indoor Series championship will head to Atlantic City, NJ January 26 and 27 at Boardwalk Hall for the 22nd running of the NAPA Auto Parts Atlantic City Indoor Races.

The indoor series ends with the East Coast Dirt Nationals at the Trenton, N.J. Cure Insurance Area where Tim Buckwalter will be on hand to defend his 2023 victory on February 23 and 24th.
