Five Premier Partners Join Forces to Celebrate 10 Years of Indoor Auto Racing in Allentown
$10,000 in Additional Prize Money Highlights 10-Year Anniversary Celebration at PPL Center

ALLENTOWN, PA – The Indoor Auto Racing Series is preparing to celebrate a major milestone in January 8 & 9, marking 10 years of indoor racing at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pa.  To make the anniversary even more special, five area businesses have joined forces as premier partners, providing an additional $10,000 in prize money for competitors during the two-night event.

The program spearheaded by longtime supporter Ricky Harring, includes local companies: Bear Den Farms, E. Schneider & Sons, GC Lumber, Stew’s Tire Center and Willow Street Pub creating a unique partnership designed to recognize a decade of indoor racing in Allentown while giving back directly to the racers who make the events possible.

“Ten years of racing in Allentown has flown past, Ricky Harring is been a great supporter of the event since its inception back in 2016.   To celebrate the milestone, we wanted to do something special and more importantly, we wanted to put additional money directly into the hands of the racers.” stated Len Sammons.

“Having five local businesses step up and join together to make this happen is tremendous. We’re grateful for their support, and I think the competitors and fans will appreciate what these companies are doing for the sport.”

Under the program, the five companies will be recognized collectively as premier partners of the Allentown Indoor Race 10-Year Anniversary Celebration, in lieu of a singular title sponsor.

Headlining the program is the winner’s purse for each event being doubled, across all divisions: TQ Midgets, Slingshots and Champ Karts, along with the introduction of a special Never Give Up Award.

The TQ Midget competitors will receive the largest share, with the Friday night feature winner receiving $4,000, doubling the traditional $2,000 winner’s share. Saturday night’s TQ Midget feature winner will collect $6,000, an increase from the regular $3,000 payout.

Last year, Briggs Danner delighted his hometown crowd by scoring his first career Indoor Auto Racing Championship victory on Friday night. Saturday produced an equally memorable moment when Harvard, Mass.’ Matt Swanson broke through for his first TQ Midget feature victory, holding off none other than Flores to capture the checkered flag.

Slingshot and Champ Kart competitors will also benefit, with each division’s feature winner receiving $1,000 each night, doubling the traditional $500 winner’s share.

Perhaps the most unique component of the program is the Leo’s League Pediatric Cancer Fund,  “Never Give Up Award” which will distribute a $500 bonus to one competitor randomly selected in each of the six feature events held during the weekend.   The lucky recipeint will be selected a random draw of finishers 5 through 20 in event event.

The 10-year celebration will take place January 8–9, 2027, at the PPL Center in Allentown. The event will feature two nights of TQ Midget, Slingshot and Champ Kart competition, continuing a tradition that began with the inaugural Allentown Indoor Auto Races in 2016.
