Andy Jankowiak Set for Daytona–Allentown Racing Double This Saturday

ALLENTOWN, PA – Andy Jankowiak will take on a rare and ambitious racing challenge to open the 2026 season, attempting a unique Daytona–Allentown “double” in the same day.

Jankowiak will spend Friday and Saturday testing with KLAS Motorsports at Daytona International Speedway as part of his ARCA Series commitments. When testing concludes Saturday afternoon, he will fly directly from Florida to Pennsylvania and head straight to the PPL Center in Allentown to compete in the second day of competition in the Allentown Indoor Auto Racing Series as part of the Ironton Global race weekend.

Upon arrival in Allentown, Jankowiak will jump into his No. 57 TQ Midget and start at the back of a heat race in an effort to qualify for the 40-lap feature later that night. The challenge will require a rapid transition from a high-speed ARCA stock car at one of the world’s largest ovals to a tight indoor quarter-mile in just a few hours.
The defending Ted Christopher Cup Series Champion is coming off his first career Allentown Indoor victory in 2025 and believes he will have a competitive car despite the tight schedule. One of his crew members will shake the car down in practice earlier in the day.

Jankowiak will miss Friday night’s Indoor event due to his ARCA commitments, eliminating him from championship contention, but allowing full focus on Saturday’s Allentown race and the upcoming NAPA Auto Parts Gamblers Classic weekend in Atlantic City on Friday and Saturday January 30 and 31.

“This is a very unique challenge and one I’m extremely excited about,” Jankowiak said.

“I wouldn’t trade this situation with anyone.”

More than 40 additional TQ Midget drivers from eight different states will be on hand including Ryan Flores of Huntersville, N.C., a winner of 7 of 15 Indoor races held in Allentown since the first ten years ago.

The entry list also includes Allentown native Briggs Danner, who finished third in the series standings last year behind Jankowiak and Flores.
The TQ Midgets will contest a 30-lap feature on Friday night and a 40-lap main event on Saturday. Drivers will again have the opportunity to claim Stan Stanzek’s Ironton Auto Body Challenge by winning both features.

Friday’s winner will be offered a guaranteed starting position in Saturday’s main event—provided they start tenth. Accepting the challenge earns a $1,000 bonus, with an additional $4,000 awarded if they charge from tenth to win Saturday’s feature. Combined with Saturday’s purse, a weekend sweep would total $10,000.

If the challenge is not completed, Ironton Auto Body will roll over a portion of the bonus to the Atlantic City Indoor Race. Flores accomplished the feat last season at the NAPA Gambler’s Classic, earning $10,000 including challenge bonus money and support from the Atlantic City Sports Commission and Visit Atlantic City.

Friday night will also feature the Will Cagle Shootout, sponsored by Ricky Harring, pitting the top 10 qualifiers in a 15-lap dash where drivers choose their starting positions. The pole position pays $240 to win, increasing by $120 per position. A driver winning from tenth would earn $1,320.

The headline TQ Midget division will be joined by Slingshots and Champ Karts, with full programs and main events for all three classes. Champ Kart teams will tow in from 12 states and Ontario, Canada, while Slingshot competitors will represent PA, NY, NJ, and Quebec.

Lower-level reserved ticket holders for Saturday night receive access to a special pre-race FanFest, allowing fans to walk the track and meet drivers and teams prior to the 7 p.m. green flag.

Tickets are available through a ticketmaster link at IndoorAutoRacing.com or at the box office the day of the events. Check the webs-site for more information.
